Hello, my name is Marek. I'm from the Czech Republic. And I lived aboard for over 30 years. I left the Czech Republic when I was 18 years old. I then studied in England, and then lived 10 years in Sydney, Australia, and nearly 20 years lived in Osaka Japan. I moved back to my home country, the Czech Republic, two years ago. I've spent almost half my life in Japan and have had many wonderful experiences with Japanese life, culture, and customs. One of them was finding out and learning about the amazing taste of Japanese rice. I've come to truly appreciate Japan's wonderful cuisine. First of all, Japanese rice has a mystical meaning and is treated with the utmost respect even when eating it. The whole concept of respect and reverence for everything that comes from nature and is grown by the hard work of farmers permeates the daily life of Japanese cuisine. Eating in Japan is about feeling and appreciating everything you eat deeply and paying respect to the blessings of nature. Japanese rice is the pinnacle of that gratitude. I was deeply moved by this and I want to convey the traditional Japanese spirit of hospitality - respect, consideration, and gratitude - to people in Europe through rice. This is the main reason why I wanted to import high-quality Japanese rice to Europe. I import brown rice to Europe and do all the processes myself, from polishing to packaging.
